Two new Reservation Service Centers help meet the need for basic services in the villages of White Earth and Pine Point. The two Centers offer a convenience store, fuel service, deli and eatery. An owner-occupied housing unit is attached. Prior to the construction of these stores, residents of these communities were forced to travel to nearby communities to buy gasoline and other commodities, thus increasing the cost of these purchases.
The project, which exceeds $1 million in total cost, was made possible through partnerships with the White Earth Tribal Council Government, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Community Development Bank, fsb, White Earth Investment Initiative, MMCDC and United States Department of Agriculture.
