Indian Land Capital Company helps tribes recover land

From its office in Minnesota’s largest metropolitan area, the Indian Land Capital Company has been a quiet force for Native lands for 15 years.

By combining flexible financing with technical assistance, the ILCC supports tribal acquisition of alienated lands and galvanizes tribal business ventures.  Financing has exceeded $20 million. Successful projects include a bioenergy plant in California, an organic farm in Michigan, preservation of spectacular coastline in California, and energy-efficiency improvements to a sawmill in Wisconsin.

With a mission to support the recovery of more than 90 million acres, the company requires dedicated leadership and patient capital. In 2019, White Earth Investment Initiative provided it with $250,000 of below-market financing that aligns with its long-term strategy.

“It is the commitment of firms like White Earth Investment Initiative that allows Indian Land Capital Company to come to the aid of tribes who are shut out of traditional finance opportunities. WEII’s investment and belief in ILCC is vital to land acquisition and economic development throughout Indian country.” ILCC CEO Rjay Brunkow
